Havelock North to Masterton - Day 6

Leaving Havelock North in the rain, we head out towards our next stop in Masterton.  We stop in Waipukurau and take a stroll down the street, grab an early lunch and see the couple that were camping nearby in Taupo and Havelock North.  Stalkers?

Walking back to the ute, we stop at a window and see a little dog on display - it is real and Goochie refuses to acknowledge the doggy in the window.

Along the way, we detour through Norsewood South for a look to see the old town, then on to Dannevirke where we have stopped before but continued on our way today without stopping.

The famous old brewery

Arriving in camp, we are a bit dubious but set up and settle in and then take Goochie for a walk around Henley Lake, Queen Elizabeth Park, which is close to the camp.

We take the swing bridge over to the park which Goochie was not so keen on to begin with but got to grips with the moving planks.  On the way back we found a paddock of deer with little ones separated  into the next paddock.  Obviously well fed by the locals and very friendly.
