Westport to Hokitika - 06/03/25

Moving on after our morning walk along Carter's Beach, we leave heading for Hokitika and book a camp just out of town.  When we arrive, we discover the place is booked out for the Wild Food Festival unbeknown to us.  Glad we booked the spot.

Nikau Palms make a tropical feel

Nearing Punakaiki, the pancake rocks

We stop in Greymouth for lunch - a whitebait sandwich from our favourite cafe and so some retail therapy.

Once we have set up camp, we take the short drive into Hokitika to look around town.

Back at camp we take a walk around the area which turns out to be a lifestyle subdivision with some quite nice houses.  Goochie meets the local pigs & chickens.
